How affiliate links work

When you click a product link in one of our posts and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. You pay the same price either way — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

Which programs we use

We participate in affiliate programs including the Amazon Associates Program and a handful of retailer-specific affiliate networks. We add or drop programs over time as our reviews cover different products.

Editorial independence

Whether a link earns us a commission has no bearing on whether we recommend the product. We buy or borrow the items we review, use them the way a normal person would, and write about what we find — good or bad. If something doesn't hold up, we say so, commission or not.

We do not accept payment from brands in exchange for a positive review. Occasionally a brand sends us a product to test for free; we mark those posts as such when it happens.
